PRODUCT MANAGEMENT · RIVETAI
Building an AI film-production platform across indie and enterprise workflows.
RivetAI was an AI-powered budgeting and scheduling platform for filmmakers and production teams. As Product Manager and acting product lead, I worked across customer research, roadmap strategy, feature development, product positioning, demonstrations, and enterprise conversations.
My work centered on two connected problems: making the core scheduling product useful enough to support a filmmaker's complete workflow, and determining whether RivetAI could create a more durable business beyond its original indie subscription model.

Actor Availability for Scheduling Feasibility
RivetAI could generate a production schedule, but users still had to determine whether the required actors could work on the proposed dates. Integrating cast availability into the scheduling engine closed a recurring drop-off point, made the workflow more complete, and contributed to an approximately 25% reduction in churn.

From Indie Tool to Enterprise Platform
When growth in RivetAI's original indie subscription model began to plateau, enterprise discovery revealed a larger opportunity. I helped validate that direction through research, product demonstrations, pilots, positioning, pricing work, and an exploratory television roadmap, converting four enterprise conversations into active product engagements: two pilots and two partnerships.

Four launches across the core product
Each addressed a different barrier to adoption: feasibility, interoperability, usability, and access.
Scheduling feasibility and retention
Actor Availability
Added a calendar-based availability workflow, cast-priority logic, scheduling-engine inputs, and conflict flags so users could generate and repeatedly test production schedules around the people required to execute them.
Addressed: A generated schedule could not be fully tested against real cast constraints
Approximate outcome: Approximately 25% reduction in user churn
Interoperability
Movie Magic-Compatible Exports
Added CSV and Excel export options designed to move RivetAI schedules and production data into established professional workflows, including workflows relying on Movie Magic-readable formats.
Addressed: RivetAI outputs needed to move into existing professional production workflows
Activation and usability
Core Product Redesign and Onboarding
Improved onboarding, navigation, contextual guidance, feature discovery, and the path from entering the product to establishing an active production project.
One change moved guidance closer to the moment of action, rather than relying only on an upfront tutorial, contextual prompts helped users identify the next meaningful step on an active production project.
Addressed: Users needed a clearer path through the product and toward actual value
Access and monetization
Single-Project Purchase
Introduced a one-time purchasing option that better matched the project-based working patterns of independent filmmakers and gave prospects a lower-commitment way to test RivetAI on a real production.
The option functioned as both a lower-friction customer-access model and a sales-enablement tool.
Addressed: A recurring subscription did not suit every project-based filmmaker
REPRESENTATION
